Website Projects
Within these projects, we were given the old websites and the information we were to use to create them.
Market of Curiosities
This project was given to us, and we were supposed to create a new logo and a homepage for a website. For my logo, I chose to do those big signs with lights bulbs on them. This was something to me that sticks out when I think of a carnival vibe. The colors blue stuck out to me because of how well that it could go against black. My reasoning behind the black was that I was thinking that this project could be based on nighttime because most people to carnivals or these types of things in the evening or night, so I thought that it went well together.
James Bond
This project was an update of the already made James Bond website. The poster was created in Adobe Illustrator. I designed the background of the red and black lines because I wanted to show the movement, action, and thrill of the concept. I wanted to do the outlines of a car with the labels because in the movies, there is a lot of technology involved, and this is the part that nobody really sees. White was the color I chose for the main elements (car and type) because it stands out on the background colors, without clashing and getting confusing. For my website, I used preexisting images and information. I wanted to keep the same style as the poster, so I took the same background and colors to incorporate them together.
American Farmland Trust
This project was given to us as an impact report. We had been giving all the information we needed to use, we just had to design the logo and website. I chose to do a tractor in a wheat field. I know that when most people think of farming, that is what pops into their heads. My type of text choice was based on the style of the wheat. I wanted something thin, but that did not get confusing when looking at it. I also made a fully white version for my logo to keep it from getting lost in the images within the website.
For my website, I chose images to be big and bold for when you click on to each page. I went with basic agriculture colors to keep the focus more on the information and images that were being given.
